Life is so funny...

Sometimes, funny and strange things happen that cannot be explained. And, when you have a large family it seems to happen more often than not! Now, I am dealing with a mystery of my own right now and just HAD to share it!! On Sunday, I cleaned our little Davie and Kodye Belle's room...and I mean, I CLEANED IT!!! On Tuesday morning, both Davie and Kodye walk up to me with dum-dum suckers and laffy taffy...each with a sucker already in their mouths!! Now, doesn't sound too strange, except for the fact that we don't have dum-dum suckers and laffy taffy!! ha!! So, as a parent I asked Davie where she got the candy, to which she replied "Underneath Kodye Belle's bed..." So, naturally I go and I search and find nothing! I shrugged it off and thought nothing of it.....Yesterday was a normal day around the house...I cleaned and made hair bows, the girls played, and around 11am I put Kodye Belle down for a nap....Now, when Kodye Belle wakes up from her nap, Davie usually goes in there and they play (loudly) until I remove her from her crib. Well, yesterday I noticed that they were being unusually quite...so I peek my head in the door and what do I see!!! They are both eating a dum-dum sucker!!!!! WHAT!!?? Of course I asked Davie where they got the suckers and she said once again, "Underneath Kodye Belle's bed!" hmm? So, I did another search and found nothing...so either I'm losing my mind or they have one hell of a hiding spot for their goodies!! Now on day number three of this strange, candy coated mystery I have been watching closely...but obviously not close enough!!!!!! We got up, normal morning...I cooked breakfast and we all ate...said good-bye to daddy...Now, I just sent Davie in her room to get dressed, and of course Kodye Belle followed (as she worships her big sisters) and what do you suppose happened next???? They both walked in with Dum-dum suckers in their mouths and laffy taffy!!!! Davie ran up to me so excited and said "Look mommy!! The candy man visited us again last night!!" Now, that naturally freaked me out!!! Where is this candy coming from?!?!?! And if there is a candy man, why doesn't he leave me a snickers bar underneath my bed?? I'm left dumbfounded and hoping we can solve the candy man mystery before my kiddos lose all of their teeth!!! Oh, the joys of motherhood!

Busy, busy, busy!!!!

There are so many things coming up in our already hectic lives...but I cannot help but be anything but excited! Whisper is starting Softball again and Davie is starting her first year of t-ball!! They are both so very excited! As a parent, it is so rewarding to watch your children play competitive sports! They learn so much about sportsmanship, and at times (like when your little t-baller runs to 3rd base instead of 1st) it gives us parents a good, proud laugh! Tattum has a lot going on in her busy little life all on her own!!! After just finishing her first season of soccer, she is now getting ready to start Dance/Cheer lessons and has entered into a Kids Culinary Competition! Little Kodye Belle is learning so fast! It is so hard to believe that she is only a one year old! We want you all to be a part of our lives...whether its just reading our blog or coming and watching the kids smack a softball to left field! We are very proud parents, and cannot wait to welcome another little girl into our lives. We love you all!

Can't believe it has taken this long.......

I have been wanting to start a blog for my little family for a very long time now, and have always found an excuse to put it off! Well, here we are!! There is so much going on in our lives right now, but I feel like I should fill you all in on what you have missed! My husband Sheb and I are going on our eighth year together...AMAZING! When we met, his two daughters Whisper and Tattum lived with him. I fell in love with them right away and they have been a very special part of our lives together! In March of 2005, we added our first daughter, Davie Laine, to the 'already big' family! She came at a crazy time! Sheb had already relocated to Waco, TX while we still lived in Abilene. On the day she turned two weeks, we were reunited in our new home, in a new city!! Life was busy with Sheb's new job, and 3 little girls! In August of 2007, we moved to a little town called Robinson, TX...It's just a little suburb of Waco and perfect for our little family! Then it happened again!! We just new this one was going to be our little boy...but, on July 29, 2008, we welcomed another sweet little girl, Kodye Belle into our family! My husband is a wonderful provider and have been blessed with the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom...but, with four girls, I guess you almost have to be!! Now with our sweet Whisper getting ready to start her high school life next year, Tattum leaping into the 5th grade, my little Davie getting ready to start Kindergarten, and Kodye Belle giving me an early taste of the terrible twos, we once again are expecting!! And you guessed it! It's another little girl!! We have truly been blessed!! I am so happy to have finally started this blog! This is just a little snippet of our lives, but there is SO much more to come!!
